1:- Kailash Mansarovar
Among the Panch Kailash Yatra, the journey to Kailash Mansarovar is the most popular. Kailash Mansarovar is located in the Nagari province of Tibet-an autonomous region of China. Mount Kailash is considered the spiritual center of the universe. According to Hindu mythology, this is where heaven is located, and anyone who comes here is absolved of his sins. Drinking the holy water of Manasarovar Lake washes away the sins of hundred births and bathing in it ensures Lord Brahma’s entry into heaven.
2:- Adi Kailash
Adi Kailash Mountain, located about 50 km away from Kailash Mansarovar in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, is considered to be a replica of Mount Kailash, hence it is known as Chhota Kailash or Chhota Kailash. It is believed that Lord Shiva practiced meditation and yoga on this sacred peak, hence he got the name Adi Yogi. The procession of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, which started from Kailash Mansarovar, stopped here before moving towards Triyuginarayan Temple. A temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati is situated along with Parvati Sarovar Lake near Adi Kailash peak.
3:- Mani Mahesh Kailash
It is believed that Manimahesh, located in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, was created by Lord Shiva after his marriage with Mother Parvati. A rock formation on the top of the mountain is considered to be a manifestation of Lord Shiva due to its resemblance to the Shiva Lingam. It is believed that Lord Shiva performed deep penance for seven hundred years. Manimahesh Yatra has been given the status of state level pilgrimage by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. By taking a holy bath and circumambulating the Manimahesh lake three times, Shiva devotees are relieved from the sins committed by them.
4:- Kinnaur Kailash
Located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Kinnaur Kailash is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva met Mother Parvati. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva used to organize the assembly of Hindu deities at the Kinnar Kailash peak every winter. According to the Mahabharata, Arjuna is believed to have received the award of Pashupatastra from Lord Shiva here. A specialty of this Shiva Linga of Kinnar Kailash is that it changes its color several times throughout the day. Before sunrise, it is white; It is yellow after sunrise; After sunset, it is red; And at night it is black.
5:- Shrikhand Kailash
Shrikhand Mahadev is one of the most difficult Kailash among the Panch Kailash. It is located in Jaun village of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh and is accessible to travelers only in the month of Shravan. The Shivalinga of Shrikhand Mahadev is 75 feet high and is one of the largest Shivalingas. Idols of Mother Parvati, Lord Ganesha and Swami Karthik are also installed near Shrikhand Kailash peak. There are many caves located here and it is believed that whatever is offered to Lord Shiva in Shrikhand Mahadev goes to these caves.
